Today, in the framework of events dedicated to the Day of Science, Prizes of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine were presented to the Ukrainian scientists for the development and application of innovative technologies and the launch of innovative products on the market.

Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Viacheslav Kyrylenko congratulated the scientists on behalf of the Government and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, thanked for the significant contribution and work and stressed that the Cabinet of Ministers pays considerable attention to the development and financing of the scientific sector: "Innovative startups appear the potential that can enable Ukraine to gain leading positions in the world. Funding for innovation research and fundamental science is a priority for the Government", said Viacheslav Kyrylenko.

He noted that the process of reforming the management of science had begun, the National Research Fund triggered and aims to ensure the transparency of the provision of funds to support the scientific projects. The funding will increase annually. Another priority of the Government is the financing of university science, and for the first time, it was planned UAH 100 million this year.

This year, 5 teams of Ukrainian scientists received awards from the Government for the development and application of innovative technologies. Each team of scientists will receive UAH 200 thousand.
