Today the two communities of Dnipropetrovsk region are having a real holiday. They saw opening of newly built pre-school educational institutions under the new education standards, which is a real dream for children, parents and educators. It embodies the creative and innovative design, new State Building Standards (SBSs) in line with the European norms, availability and new approaches to education. Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko stated during a ceremony of the inauguration of new kindergartens in the town of Pidhorodneh and the settlement of Obukhivka, of Dnipropetrovsk region.
"Kindergartens are being built according to the standards of the New Educational Space, an initiative that we have developed and are currently introducing throughout the country. Its essential standards are comfort and safety, inclusive environment, energy efficiency, modern motivational design. And this is exactly what all educational institutions of Ukraine should be for modern children, the Z generation. Kids, and I assure you, who will restore Ukraine in a completely new and qualitative dimension", stressed Hennadii Zubko.
The top official emphasized that Dnipropetrovsk region had embarked on a very large-scale construction and reconstruction of educational institutions - kindergartens and schools. And Dnipropetrovsk region demonstrates leadership in this direction! And also the leader in decentralization - by the number of communities, people living there, and infrastructure projects that the region implements.
The Window of Opportunities is open to every local government these days. And this became possible due to the decentralization reform launched by President Petro Poroshenko. And due to the getting the priorities right and correct management decisions of the leadership of the Regional State Administrations (RSA) and local governments. Through our unity we make the wildest plans a reality. We will continue to build kindergartens, schools, roads, hospitals, to improve the army", promised Hennadii Zubko.
It should be noted that pre-school educational institutions in the town of Pidhorodneh and the settlement of Obukhivka in Dnipropetrovsk region have been built from scratch in almost a year for the funds of the regional and local budgets. The estimated cost of each makes up about UAH 58 million and it is planned for 115 places. In the construction process, the standards of the New Educational Space have been used and modern energy-efficient solutions introduced – rooftop-mounted solar panels, heating from alternative sources.
