Ukraine faces many challenges, and now there is a chance to make the state strong due to the timely undertaken leadership and responsibility. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the Forum of Young State Builders Sofia Kyivska.

"We are facing unprecedented challenges, inter alia, Russian aggression, domestic instability, weak economy, and corruption. Everything needs to be rebuilt and we undertook this task. Reforms being implemented now, are not just sectoral, but are aimed to building to a new country which will be advanced, economically developed and strong player in the international arena", Volodymyr Groysman noted.

The Head of Government  stressed  that  the gained experience allows to implement far-reaching transformations,  however not all officials are ready for them. "It takes time and a lot off efforts to bring changes. And time is of  critical  importance for Ukraine", Volodymyr Groysman stressed. "We are meeting a threat of populism.  Politicians often promise everything to everyone, and after the election it turns out to be empty promises. I stand for responsible policy. My rule if I promise something  - I will fulfill it. I have already made a decision for myself. I want to be a person who, while assuming the office, will bring positive changes for the state".

According to the Prime Minister, the main focus should be placed on the development of human capital. "Ukrainian citizen should benefit from this which means a decent standard of living, stable salary and high income", the Prime Minister said.

He cited the healthcare reform as an example. The fundamental transformations are taking place amid some difficulties, but 20 million citizens have already concluded contracts with doctors, so they receive a new quality of services, and more than 20 thousand doctors have already received salaries that are 2-3 times bigger than before the reform.

In the same way, the decentralization reform is  being carried out due to which  local budgets possess sufficient resources, and anticorruption vertical is being built. Over two years, more than 700 regulatory acts which were huge  barriers to business development have been cancelled. "I want to be a person who made Ukraine strong",  the Head of Government said.
