Interdepartmental Working Group on Corporate Governance Reform of the Public Joint Stock Company "Ukrainian Railway", headed by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion, approved a step-by-step plan to prolong the reform.

According to Volodymyr Kistion, Ukrzaliznytsia undergoes the process of large-scale transformation. The independent Supervisory Board has been established, the Company Statute approved, corporate governance reform is being implemented in line with best international practices in the management of state-run enterprises.

"Within Ukrzaliznytsia, a clear distribution of powers of the Supervisory Board and management of the company is being introduced. The state, as the main shareholder, delegates sufficient powers to conduct the effective economic activity and expects high responsibility in the process of fulfilling the tasks. As a result of the reform, we see an improvement in the quality of services that should be satisfactory for both ordinary Ukrainians and businesses", commented the Vice Prime Minister.
