  • Working meeting held to tackle preparation of district heating companies for heating season

Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development held a weekly working meeting on the readiness of heat supply companies and the progress of restoration of enterprises affected by russian aggression.

As of August 1, the readiness of district heating companies was over 60%, according to regional administrations. Scheduled works are ongoing to prepare networks, boiler houses, generating equipment and individual heating points.

"We are systematically preparing for the 23/24 heating season. One of the key issues is the restoration of heat supply systems that were damaged due to russian attacks. I can say that the thermal part of almost all CHPPs has now been restored. We are also working on providing backup capacities. In particular, the issue of allocating funds from the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression of rf to finance the necessary measures to restore and build backup facilities has been submitted to the Government.

The issue of PSO extension will also be resolved in the near future, and we continue to work with the Ministry of Finance to compensate for the difference in tariffs for district heating companies," commented Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine, Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.

Following the meeting, instructions were given to monitor compliance with the scheduled repairs.
