Today, a green level of epidemic danger is imposed throughout Ukraine, so the Ministry of Health considers easing quarantine restrictions. This was stated by Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko at a Government meeting.
“The current epidemic situation in Ukraine allows us to say that the whole country meets the indicators of the green level of epidemic danger. But I emphasize that despite the improvement of the epidemiological situation, we should not forget that COVID-19 has not been countered, none of the European countries, where the situation with both disease and vaccination improved, has completely lifted the restrictive measures, " the Minister stressed.
Currently, the incidence rate in Ukraine is 74 cases per 100,000 population with a certain green level of 75 per 100,000 population. In 16 regions this indicator is much lower than defined.
The lowest incidence rate is in Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia and Kirovohrad regions and is 30 cases per 100,000 population. And the average oxygen bed occupancy is 17% with a limit of 65%. The level of hospitalizations in the country on June 8 is 15.5 cases per 100,00 population at a certain rate of 60 per 100,000 population.
“I urge every Ukrainian to be reasonable, every entrepreneur to be responsible, and every official to encourage communities to mobilize and self-organize. And remember, the best protection against COVID-19 is vaccination. "Already now, everyone, in particular through the Diia (Action) application, can get a jab in mass vaccination centers, which are becoming more and more," Viktor Liashko underscored.
