Today, April 7, at its meeting, the Government has endorsed the order "On approval of the Action Plan for the implementation of the National Transport Strategy of Ukraine for the period up to 2030." This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii.
"The National Transport Strategy "Drive Ukraine 2030" is the core program document that determines the development of the transport industry for the next 9 years. The plan for implementation of this Strategy approved by the Government today defines the specific stages and terms of implementation of measures necessary to ensure the effective operation and comprehensive development of the industry as a whole. The document was developed with the support of the EU Delegation to Ukraine and reflects the implementation of our country’s European integration commitments in the field of transport. These include the introduction of the European Green Deal and the replacement of public transport with more modern and environmentally friendly means, the improvement of passenger transportation services, the development of cycling infrastructure, and so on. The document has been repeatedly discussed with a wide range of participants - specialists, industry experts, business representatives, regions, the public, and also contains detailed steps to implement all tasks, determined amounts and sources of funding," told Vladyslav Kryklii.
In particular, the Action Plan contains the following:
"Each of the four main areas of the Strategy identifies a list of tasks that need to be implemented to address existing problems. Each task has the appropriate stages of implementation, responsible executors, deadlines and indicators," Vladyslav Kryklii added.
The Action Plan was drafted by the Ministry of Infrastructure in pursuance of paragraph 3 of the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 30.05.2018 № 430 "On approval of the National Transport Strategy of Ukraine for the period up to 2030".
