Government allocates almost UAH 4 million for the elimination of the consequences of the fire at the Odesa college
Today, on December 11, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at its meeting allocated almost almost UAH 4 million for the elimination of the consequences of the fire at the premises of the Odesa Economics, Law and Hotel Management College.
The Government's initiative stipulates for the allocation of UAH 200 thousand to each of the families whose relatives died during the fire at Odesa College and UAH 50 thousand to persons injured in the fire. Another UAH 315 thousand will be directed to priority measures to eliminate the consequences of the fire. The total volume of funds planned to be allocated by the Government is UAH 3 million 965 thousand.
"Funds we are allocating of the reserve fund will not return those who have died and will not heal the wounds of that horrific tragedy. But it is our duty as a Government to support the victims and their families. However, investigating the tragedy, identifying those responsible is a matter of the highest priority, it is under my personal control," Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk commented.
After approval of the decision by the Government, these funds will be directed to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) and the Odesa Regional State Administration from the reserve fund of the state budget.
