Government increases monthly payments for individuals injured at work and requiring care or medical support

On 6 August, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision to increase the amount of monthly financial compensation for individuals who suffered health damage due to workplace accidents or occupational diseases and require ongoing care or medical support. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
“People should not be left alone with their challenges after injuries or illnesses sustained at work. We are strengthening support for those who need external care, medications, or medical supplies,” stated the Prime Minister.
From now on, the amount of monthly compensation will depend on the level of need and will be as follows:
- UAH 4,000 – for those requiring specialised medical care along with medications or medical supplies;
- UAH 2,000 – for those needing ongoing external care and medical support;
- UAH 1,333 – for those requiring household care and medical supplies;
- UAH 800 – for those needing sanitary-hygienic supplies, medications, or medical products.
This decision will enable better support for those affected and reduce the financial burden on their families.
