The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved two important projects submitted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The Government endorsed a draft Presidential Decree on awarding state scholarships to prominent figures in physical culture and sports.

The act provides for the granting of lifetime state scholarships to three people who have reached the age of 70 and 24 two-year state scholarships to figures selected by the competition commission of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The implementation of the act will help support outstanding athletes and coaches who have made a significant contribution to the development of sports in Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has also amended the Regulation on Granting the Status of National Sports Federations on the Basis of Competitive Selection.

This decision will significantly simplify the document flow and improve communication between the Ministry and individual federations.
