The Government continues to support Ukrainian agricultural producers. This week it adopted a number of changes for farmers in frontline territories. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

In particular, the following government decisions were made:

  • Expansion of the compensation programme for Ukrainian-made agricultural machinery under the Made in Ukraine policy

“For agricultural producers in areas of hostilities, compensation has been increased to 40% (from 25%), provided that 80% or more of their land is located in the combat zone. UAH 1.8 billion has been allocated for 2026. The programme covers 166 manufacturers and more than 14,000 items of equipment,” Yulia Svyrydenko informed.

  • Compensation of melioration costs

The state will cover up to 80% of costs (excluding VAT) for the repair, reconstruction and construction of irrigation systems and pumping stations in frontline and de-occupied regions.

  • Payments for lost crops

236 agricultural producers in Kherson region will receive UAH 4,700 per hectare (up to 2,000 hectares). Payments from the state budget will begin next week.

  • Support for livestock farming

From 7 April, applications will be accepted for UAH 7,000 per cow (3–100 head) and UAH 2,000 per goat/sheep (5–500 head) through the State Agrarian Register.

“Overall, the Government is implementing a comprehensive set of programmes: grants, compensations, direct payments, livestock support and insurance. To strengthen energy independence under conditions of limited electricity supply, preferential loans are available, including the 5-7-9% programme and 0% loans of up to UAH 10 million for energy equipment,” the Prime Minister emphasised.
