The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a bill on patronage in a cultural sector that was drafted by the Ministry of Culture. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

"For the first time, we determine what is patronage, who can be a patron and beneficiary, and what areas of support such activities cover," said the Head of Government. "We also specify the areas of assistance: from renovating cultural institutions to restoring heritage and supporting Ukrainian content. We also offer incentives for patrons."

Yulia Svyrydenko said that the bill launched a new model of partnership between the state, business, and civil society, and offers incentives for patrons.

"We are now submitting the bill to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration. We expect it to be supported by MPs in the near future," the Prime Minister said.
