Government approves allocation of subvention for creating seven new veterans’ spaces in 2025

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the allocation of a subvention from the state budget to local budgets for the implementation of a public investment project to develop veterans’ spaces.

Within this year’s funding, plans are in place to build seven modern veterans’ spaces in the following regions:

• Zhytomyr region,
• Zakarpattia region,
• Ivano-Frankivsk region,
• Kyiv region,
• Poltava region,
• Dnipropetrovsk region,
• Volyn region.

The adopted decision will enable co-financing from the state budget for the construction of veterans’ spaces and facilitate the implementation of key objectives of the state’s veteran policy at the local level.

The funds will be directed towards creating safe, accessible, and functional spaces where veterans, their families, and families of fallen soldiers can receive comprehensive support, ranging from legal and social consultations to educational and psychological services.

Additionally, the decision will ensure funding for the construction of new veterans’ spaces, which are set to be the first steps in establishing a nationwide network of state veterans’ spaces. This will help achieve key objectives of the state’s veteran policy, including bringing services closer to every individual returning from the war and creating conditions for their effective reintegration and support within communities.
