State scholarships for prominent figures in science, education, culture and art, healthcare, physical culture and sports, and the information sphere are awarded in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of September 10, 2011, No. 906 “On state scholarships for prominent figures in science, education, culture and art, healthcare, physical culture and sports, and the information sphere”.

The scholarships will help strengthen state support for scientists, stimulate creative work of scientists, and recognize their achievements.

Doctors of Engineering, Geology and Mineralogy, and Philosophy will receive state scholarships for two years in recognition of outstanding personal achievements

The amount of each scholarship per month is 1.5 times the subsistence minimum for people who have lost their ability to work.
