Ukraine is passing through a difficult period of transformation, when, in the short run, it is necessary to overcome major and diverse challenges that require change, including in the world perception. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during a meeting with British political scientist James A. Robinsona co-author of the bestseller Why Nations Fall.

"In your book, you provide quite clear answers: which path leads to success, and which - to the decline. I am glad that you have visited our state and looked at the processes from within", said Volodymyr Groysman.

"Yes, I have been monitoring developments in Ukraine, especially after the events of 2014. But I oversee more from the bird's eye view", the British scientist said and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to communicate frankly about the situation in the country, the progress of reforms and countering destructive populism.

The interlocutors agreed that our state is in a difficult transit period today, when it is vital to keep making choices – either towards a path of decline or development. "But for any changes we must fight and protect those positive things we can achieve", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
