Shadow schemes at customs are incurring losses for the state budget, claims Prime Minister
The shadow schemes of smuggling are undermining the growth of industry and export, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated on air of the ICTV channel in The Freedom of Speech program.
"I defend the state budget. The result should be the only one - public and transparent, the Head of Government stressed. - Everyone in life has a choice, I have already made my own. Smugglers are trying to compromise my position, but this will not happen".
The Prime Minister recalled that additional revenues from customs made up UAH 79 billion, a part of which to the tune of UAH 12 billion was allocated for additional financing of roads. "Maybe someone calls in question these figures, but then look at the quality of roads. Smuggling jeopardizes the development of honest business. The argument is the only one - there are rules, thus we have to fulfill them".
