On April 26, at the headquarters of the Council of Europe, a Ukrainian delegation led by Vice Prime Minister/Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko will participate in the second part of the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
There have been planned discussions on decentralization in the context of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine for 2018-2021, a separate debate on legislative regulation of compliance with the law in the activities of local self-government bodies.
The events are organized with the assistance of the Council of Europe Project Decentralization and Territorial Consolidation in Ukraine in synergy with the U-LEAD with Europe program. The debate will be attended by representatives of the Council of Europe, Georg Milbradt, Special Envoy of the Government of Germany on reforming Ukraine in the spheres of governance and decentralization, MPs of Ukraine, heads of specialized local governance associations (Association of Ukrainian Cities, Ukrainian Association of District and Regional Councils, All-Ukrainian Association of Village and Settlement Councils, Association of Amalgamated Communities).
Also during the visit, Hennadii Zubko will meet with Chairman of the Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development Mr. Stefan Schennach and PACE General Rapporteur on Local and Regional Authorities Mr. Luis Leite Ramos.
