Evacuees, who returned from China on February 20, are released from a 14 days quarantine in Novi Sanzhary.

Evacuated 45 Ukrainians and 27 foreign nationals are healthy, they do not have a coronavirus. It should be noted that an observatory is a place where people without symptoms of COVID-19 stay during the incubation period. Observation is one of the ways to quarantine Ukrainians from Wuhan.

However, the first case of COVID-19 had been confirmed in Ukraine. The person is placed under quarantine under the supervision of doctors and receives medical care.

In addition, laboratory testing of 10 suspected coronavirus cases is being performed now by the Public Health Center reference laboratory. Results will be reported after the study.

Forced epidemiological measures are planned in some regions of Ukraine in connection with the spread of coronavirus, including the cancelling of all public events and closure of educational institutions.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Health, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko at a briefing with the participation of the President of Ukraine.

"In the near future, we will be forced to take restrictive anti-epidemic measures in some regions of Ukraine. We will ban the holding of mass events, conferences, sports events. We will also temporarily close schools for restrictive anti-epidemic measure", Viktor Lyashko said.

According to him, such measures are needed to reduce the mass gathering of people because the coronavirus spreads through respiratory droplets, the COVID-19 pathogen from the sick person, respectively, can spread to a maximum distance of 1.5-2 meters.
