On July 28, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Tetiana Berezhna as acting Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications.

During the period of transformation of the Ministry, the priority remains to maintain controllability, financial solvency and effective interaction with the cultural community. That is why the duties of the head of the Ministry have been entrusted to an experienced manager with a strong background in public policy, international cooperation and reform implementation.

"Tetiana Berezhna's main task is to ensure proper funding for culture in times of war. Her key areas of activity include auditing the needs of the industry, intensifying cooperation with donors and seeking additional resources. As Deputy Minister of Economy, she has already demonstrated effectiveness in these areas," commented Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko on the Government's decision and added that Tetiana Berezhna has extensive experience in introducing reforms, developing cultural diplomacy and implementing international projects. In particular, she represents Ukraine as a commissioner at the EXPO-2025 World Expo in Japan.

The Ministry's team continues to work in a coordinated manner. Deputy Ministers Halyna Hryhorenko, Anastasia Bondar and other specialists remain in their positions, ensuring consistency and professionalism in their activities.

The Government also announces further separation of information policy and strategic communications into a separate area with a clear mandate and necessary resources. This will allow for focused work on the country's information sustainability.

“The cultural policy needs a new impetus,” the Head of Government noted.
