Situation in power system as of 7 May
Situation in the power system as of 7 May: most consumers in Sumy region, which were cut off from electricity supply due to shelling, have the electricity supply; RES generation was limited.
GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Yesterday, the needs of consumers were covered by both domestic generation and commercial imports.
Due to the sunny weather and, accordingly, active generation of electricity by SPPs, the transmission system operator limited the generation of electricity from RES throughout the day.
Due to network restrictions on the transmission system operator's lines, outage schedules were applied yesterday in Kharkiv region and for industry in Kryvyi Rih. Restrictions in these regions are still in effect today. In other regions, consumers were not restricted yesterday.
CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHELLING
Power engineers have reconnected almost all consumers in Sumy region who lost power after a hit to a high-voltage substation. However, yesterday the enemy struck another facility in the region - a power company substation. As a result, an overhead line and six other substations were disconnected, cutting off power to household consumers. Currently, some 5400 consumers in Sumy region are without electricity, mostly those who have been disconnected for a long time due to previous shelling.
EMERGENCIES
In Kryvyi Rih, a dry grass fire caused a substation on the territory of one of the enterprises to shut down. Industrial consumers lost power. On the territory of another enterprise, an overhead line was briefly disconnected for technological reasons, and the substation was partially de-energised. As a result, the local industry was cut off from power and technological processes were disrupted.
In Donetsk region, one of the mines suffered a malfunction of ventilation equipment. As a result, 49 workers were brought to the surface. Within an hour, the ventilation system was restored.
CONSEQUENCES OF BAD WEATHER
Fifty-four settlements remain without power due to the weather. Most of them - 42 - are in Chernihiv region.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond is 15.39 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant's needs.
IMPORT/EXPORT
For the current day, electricity imports are forecast at 7395 MWh. There are no exports.
