Due to bad weather, shelling and technical violations, consumers in 11 regions lost power, electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet consumer needs

    POWER GENERATION

The electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. The power system is being prepared for the winter in the face of russian attacks. Five power units and one thermal generation turbine that were in reserve have been put out of service for short-term repairs (within one day). This will not affect the generation of electricity – the needs of consumers will be fully met.

    CONSEQUENCES OF BAD WEATHER

Due to adverse weather conditions, 98 settlements in Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions lost power. Most of them are in Sumy region, where more than 8,000 consumers are cut off from electricity.

    SITUATION IN THE FRONTLINE REGIONS

The shelling in Donetsk region has cut power to 14,500 consumers. Some consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions are also without power. Repair crews are working where the security situation allows.

    SITUATION IN THE REGIONS

As a result of technological disruptions, 13,200 consumers in Dnipropetrovsk region and almost 3,000 consumers in Kirovohrad region were temporarily cut off from electricity supply yesterday. All of them have now been reconnected.

CONSEQUENCES OF THE KAKHOVKA HPP DAM BLOW-UP

In Kherson, 1,200 consumers remain without power after the flooding. Power engineers are working to restore power supply, but repairs are slowed down by shelling.

    SITUATION AT THE ZNPP

The water level in the ZNPP cooling pond remains stable at 15.69 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.

    EXPORT/IMPORT

Commercial electricity imports totalled 501 MWh over the past day. Exports to Slovakia and Moldova – 2,878 MWh
