A 250 MW CHPP unit is out of repair, an oil refinery facility was damaged by shelling
Power generation
A unit of one of the thermal power plants has come back online after scheduled repairs. It will add an additional 250 MW of capacity to the grid.
The power generating facilities are operating normally. The coal and fuel oil stocks are sufficient for the uninterrupted operation of the plants. The amount of electricity generated is sufficient to fully meet the needs of consumers and industry.
A power unit at one of the TPPs has been put under short-term emergency repair.
Consequences of the shelling
The shelling damaged equipment at one of the oil refineries.
The enemy also shelled the area near a thermal power plant in Donetsk region. There were no casualties.
Emergencies
In the evening, a fire broke out at a coal mine in Donetsk region due to a power surge. There were 45 miners underground at the time of the emergency. No combustion products entered the mine workings. The fire was extinguished within an hour and power was restored to the mine.
Situation in the frontline regions
Over the past day, more than 9,000 customers in Donetsk region lost power as a result of hostilities. Repairs are underway.
In Kherson, power engineers restored electricity to more than 3,600 customers over the past day. Power lines in Kharkiv region were damaged as a result of shelling. Mine clearance of power facilities is underway with the involvement of deminers and special equipment.
An overhead power line in Chernihiv region was cut off as a result of shelling. More than 200 consumers were left without electricity.
In total, power engineers have reconnected almost 27,000 consumers over the past day.
Some consumers in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Chernihiv regions remain without power supply.
Situation at the ZNPP
Due to the deteriorating weather conditions, the water level in the plant’s cooling pond has slightly increased to 16.88 metres.
This is enough to meet the needs of the plant.
Exports/imports
Over the past day, exports to Slovakia, Romania and Moldova totalled 1,720 MWh, while imports from these countries amounted to 1,176 MWh.
