Today there exists indisputable demand in the society for approaching to the European Union. Together we laid the foundation for the implementation of the Association Agreement, and began to constantly increase the pace. Now the key thing is not to stop and make every effort to extend this vector of development and to preserve the results achieved. Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze emphasized during the final meeting of the Supervisory Board of the EU-funded Association4U - "Support for the implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement" dedicated to the completion of the project.

The  key goal of the Association4U project is to strengthen the institutional capacity of government institutions to ensure that they fully fulfill their obligations under the Association Agreement.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked international partners and all experts involved in the project for their considerable efforts to develop institutional capacity in the field of legislative approximation, training, coordination of European integration and public relations processes.

"The work of a large team on the implementation of the provisions of the Association Agreement over the past years has already yielded tangible results. Changes have affected literally all sectors of the economy, society and the large majority of government bodies", Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze stressed.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that about 20 projects are currently being implemented with the support of the European Union, in particular phytosanitary norms, agriculture, energy, business development, customs, taxation, etc. However, the Association4U project is the only one that focuses on horizontal issues of the implementation of the Association Agreement. The project's experts were involved in the development and analysis of more than 1,500 regulatory acts, translated more than 30,000 pages of various documents, including 160 translations of the European Union’s legal acts, also developed training courses and held a large number of trainings for representatives of the public and public sector which were attended by more than 3,500 people.

In turn, Hugues Mingarelli, EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine noted that one of the most important priorities in the bilateral relations between the European Union and Ukraine is a comprehensive assistance in implementing the Association Agreement. This is not just a bureaucratic procedure, but a practical tool for building a better future for Ukrainian citizens.
