Today is World Humanitarian Day. It was established to honour the courage and dedication of humanitarian operators around the world.
It is also an important day for Ukraine. Since the outbreak of full-scale war, international and Ukrainian humanitarian organisations have been helping to hold the humanitarian frontline.
Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, congratulated Ukrainians on this day and thanked partner organisations for their work in humanitarian response, saving lives and health of Ukrainians.
“Today we pay tribute to all those who, side by side, are helping, saving and giving hope. Even at these moments, important humanitarian operations are taking place to save our women, children, the elderly and people with limited mobility. And for that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your work is our firm belief that we will definitely win,” concluded Iryna Vereshchuk.
