Sweden has joined the 'Tank Coalition', says Oleksii Reznikov
The Kingdom of Sweden has decided to join the 'Tank Coalition'. This was announced by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov during a joint briefing in Kyiv with the Minister of Defence of Sweden Paul Johnson and the Minister for Civil Defence of Sweden Carl-Oskar Bohlin.
The Ukrainian Defence Minister also noted that in the summer of 2023, Ukraine expects the arrival of powerful and highly accurate Swedish Archer Artillery Systems along with trained crews of Ukrainian artillerymen.
"In addition, Ukrainian crews are completing training on modern CV90 armoured vehicles. There are various types of training missions in which our servicemen are trained by Swedish instructors," the Minister of Defence of Ukraine noted.
Oleksii Reznikov added that during the talks with Paul Johnson, they also focused on the priorities for arming Ukraine to achieve victory.
"We discussed our bilateral cooperation, in particular our air defence needs. I personally believe that the announced future 'aircraft coalition', as already mentioned, will include training of our pilots on F-16. I am absolutely convinced that Gripen aircraft from Sweden could take a worthy place in this coalition," the Minister of Defence of Ukraine stressed.
