Miners will be paid arrears of wages today or tomorrow, announced Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection Oleksiy Orzhel.

“The situation is unacceptable when people receive pay with a delay of 3-4 months. However, it is an anomalous situation when the industry that must earn profit is financed from the state budget,” the Minister expressed his position.

Oleksiy Orzhel said that the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection is launching a reform of the coal industry. “Mines that are economically viable must operate. We are about to present our concept for further development of mines,” the Minister stressed.
