  • We will develop interregional cooperation with Turkey, says Hennadii Zubko

    In Istanbul, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko and First Vice Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv held talks with the Minister of Trade of Turkey Ruhsar Pekcan. The meeting took place within the framework of the official visit of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to the Turkish Republic. This was informed by Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine/Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine.

    "Among the issues for discussion were the increase of trade turnover between Ukraine and Turkey and leveraging investments; the involvement of Turkish technology in processing in the agroindustrial complex and infrastructure. Moreover, the strengthening interregional cooperation, establishing horizontal trade and economic relations between the regions of Ukraine and Turkey. At present, 32 agreements on cooperation between the administrative-territorial units of our countries have been signed", the Vice Prime Minister wrote.

    Hennadii Zubko announced that Turkey entered TOP 10 foreign investors in Ukraine. In January-July 2018, the commodity turnover between Ukraine and Turkey grew by almost 16% and amounted to USD 2.411 billion, while turnover of services grew by 18.6% to USD 267.3 million.
