Prime Minister: Ukraine sees the stable passage of the heating season
The heating season in Ukraine in the context of the global energy crisis is considered stable. This was emphasized by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Government meeting on January 26.
"Ukraine's coal reserves have grown to more than 800,000 tons. Since the beginning of this year, state-owned mines have produced 17% more coal than during the similar period last year. Another over 10 ships with coal have been either reserved or are already sailing to Ukraine, so that the situation remains under full control," said Denys Shmyhal.
According to the Prime Minister, there are about 11.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas in underground gas storage facilities. He assured that together with domestic production, the amount will be sufficient to complete the heating season just as confidently.
