The Government will continue to support people and businesses in a pandemic, in particular through the President's ePidtrymka Program, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal told during a regular session of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 26.
"Currently, more than 7.5 million Ukrainians have applied for benefits. A UAH 1.7 billion sum has already been spent," the Head of Government said.
Denys Shmyhal noted that since January 24, the Government had extended the initiative to citizens aged over 60. In just 2 days, Ukrainians have bought drugs under the ePidtrymka program for more than UAH 6.5 million.
"In the future, the Government plans to expand the program for adolescents while adding educational services to the areas of possible expenses. Also, at the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, we intend to expand the program to public utilities services," the Prime Minister noted.
Moreover, the Prime Minister reminded that the President had announced payments in the amount of UAH 500 for a booster shot, and the Government was actively working on the introduction of this initiative.
