There are 44 environmental datasets published on the open data portal. This data is constantly being updated. Serhii Vlasenko, Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation, said this during his speech at the event "Open Data: The Way to Transparency and Accountability", an event dedicated to discussing the availability of open data during martial law and increasing transparency.
"The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources is constantly improving the EcoSystem environmental platform and filling it with new environmental information, launching new services and registers. In EcoSystem, anyone can find all the relevant environmental information on air and water quality 24/7, find out what is happening to forests and protected areas, whether enterprises comply with environmental standards in your locality, etc.", said Serhii Vlasenko.
Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation reminded of the Government's decision to expand the list of open data in the environmental sphere. Namely, it has been supplemented with 11 new data sets to be published. Another seven items were clarified and five outdated ones were excluded.
"The development of environmental open data is a guarantee of free access to information on the state of the environment for everyone. In addition, it is our compliance with the requirements of the Aarhus Convention," reminded Serhii Vlasenko.
Also during the event, Yanina Lyubyva, open data expert at the Ministry of Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation, presented the concept of the Data+ platform. The platform is intended to become a platform for dialogue between the Ministry of Digital Transformation, information managers, data users, the public, experts and other stakeholders.
