Situation in the power system as of 9 June: yesterday, consumer restrictions were applied to a lesser extent than forecast; 16 settlements were cut off from power due to bad weather.

    GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION

Yesterday, the applying of consumer restrictions was planned from 16:00 to 24:00 throughout Ukraine. However, due to the coordinated work of power engineers and a reduction in load due to lower consumption, the restrictions were cancelled at 21:00 in all regions.

During the daytime, Ukraine received surplus electricity from Poland's power system at the request of the Polish side.

According to the forecast, no restrictions are expected to be applied today.

    CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHELLING

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, power engineers have restored electricity to more than 26,000 families that lost power the day before due to enemy shelling.

In Chernihiv region, two hostile attacks resulted in power cuts to 1988 customers in 20 settlements of Novgorod-Siverskyi district.

In Donetsk region, the distribution system operator's overhead line was disconnected due to hostilities. Consumers did not lose power.

In Kharkiv region, hostile shelling damaged gas pipelines in one of the settlements of Kharkiv district. 125 customers were left without gas supply.

    STATE OF THE GRIDS

Yesterday afternoon, a high-voltage overhead line was disconnected in the eastern region for technological reasons. At the same time, a power generating company was temporarily disconnected from the Ukrainian power grid without losing power for its needs. The reasons for the outage are being investigated.

    CONSEQUENCES OF BAD WEATHER

As of this morning, 16 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions remained without power supply due to the bad weather.

    IMPORT/EXPORT

For the current day, electricity imports are forecast to exceed 26,000 MWh. No exports are expected.
