Situation in the power system as of 10 June: due to an emergency in the power grids, consumers in Sumy and Kharkiv regions lost power; hourly outage schedules are planned to be applied from 16 to 22 hours.
GENERATION, TRANSMISSION, CONSUMPTION
Yesterday, the needs of consumers were covered by domestic generation, commercial imports and emergency assistance from the power systems of Romania, Slovakia and Poland.
During the daytime, due to sunny weather and, accordingly, active operation of SPPs, electricity generation from renewable sources was limited for a certain period.
No consumer restrictions were applied. Today, hourly outage schedules are planned to be applied from 16:00 to 22:00. No outages are foreseen for critical infrastructure companies and companies that import 80% of electricity for their needs in accordance with a government decree.
STATE OF THE GRIDS
In Sumy region, a high-voltage overhead line of the transmission system operator was de-energised twice. This resulted in power outages in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, and one of the power generating companies was disconnected from the national grid. Emergency power outages were applied. In the morning, consumers were reconnected. The cause of the outage is being investigated.
CONSEQUENCES OF SHELLING
In Kharkiv region, an overhead power line of a regional power company was disconnected as a result of hostile shelling. The substation and the household consumers connected to it lost power. In the morning, all consumers were reconnected.
In the afternoon, equipment at a substation in the Dnipropetrovsk region was damaged by shelling, and more than 41,000 household consumers in the city of Nikopol lost power. All of them have been reconnected.
SITUATION AT ZNPP
The water level in the cooling pond has slightly decreased to 15.19 metres. This is sufficient to meet the plant's needs.
