More than 380,000 families in frontline communities to receive UAH 19,400 each for the heating season
More than 380,000 families in frontline communities will receive a one-off payment of UAH 19,400 to help them through the heating season, Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi announced.
“This support is for Ukrainians who need it most,” the Prime Minister said.
Recipients will include people with disabilities, pensioners living alone, internally displaced people, recipients of housing subsidies, large and foster families, single mothers, families raising children with disabilities, family-type children’s homes and patronage foster families.
The Government has secured UAH 7.4 billion from international humanitarian organisations for this purpose. Some of the funding came from UNICEF and the Ukrainian Red Cross through the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity’s Humanitarian Account.
Applications can be submitted until 30 October through the Pension Fund, administrative service centres or local authorities. Payments will be made into bank accounts or via Ukrposhta.
