As of 18 October, 15,353 education vouchers have been issued to Ukrainians. Of these, 3,200 were issued to internally displaced persons (2,327 women and 873 men).
This was discussed at an interagency meeting on employment and vocational training of IDPs, chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.
The meeting participants considered the programme of vouchers for education, under which certain categories of citizens have the right to study at educational institutions free of charge. In particular, retraining in a working profession, training in a speciality to obtain a master's degree or a master's degree in another speciality, specialisation or as a result of advanced training.
Currently, 124 professions and specialities have been identified that can be studied with vouchers. The most popular speciality among IDPs is psychology.
The most popular professions and specialities that IDPs can study with vouchers include
- social work, nursing and preschool education;
- motor vehicle driver;
- construction and civil engineering;
- agronomy;
- electricity, electrical engineering and electromechanics;
- entrepreneurship and trade;
- cooking.
