The increase of pensions will not trigger the growth of the Pension Fund deficit. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko on air of TV channel 5.
"Despite the fact that retirement payments were increased due to recalculation in October last year, this year's pension reform for servicemen and those whose payout depends on the subsistence minimum, the Pension Fund budget deficit did not increase. This year we finance the budget of the Pension Fund at the level of the previous one," Pavlo Rozenko said.
"We are working in accordance with the timetable and it should be noted that we are working towards reducing the Pension Fund deficit," the Vice Prime Minister added added.
