This was stated by Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Ihor Nasalyk during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Energy Security Project and the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine on technical assistance cooperation funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

The Minister outlined the issues of domestic energy policy, the realization of which became possible due to the adoption of the Energy Strategy of Ukraine until 2035 "Security, energy efficiency, competitiveness" and foreign policy on diversification of energy resources and development of a unified position against external threats.

"The Government  makes every effort to fully integrate its energy markets into European energy systems and continue the reform of the energy sector," the Minister underscored.

From the Ukrainian side, the implementation of the Project will be coordinated by Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine on European Integration Natalia Boyko.
