
Support for IDPs and veterans: results of Iryna Vereshchuk’s working visit to Kirovohrad region
On Tuesday, 20 August, Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, paid a working visit to Kirovohrad region.
In Kropyvnytskyi, Iryna Vereshchuk took part in an offsite meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The event was attended by Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko and other government officials.
The participants discussed the readiness of communities for the heating season. They also discussed measures to support IDPs in host communities. In particular, the issues of housing and employment of IDPs.
In addition, Iryna Vereshchuk visited the Krop:hub Kropyvnytskyi veterans’ space in Kirovohrad region. The institution supports veterans and their families, as well as the families of fallen soldiers.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the volunteers and benefactors who make it possible for the veterans’ hub to help veterans.
Also in Kropyvnytskyi, Iryna Vereshchuk held an expanded meeting of the IDP Council at the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Kirovohrad RMA, the regional IDP Council, and local IDP Councils. They discussed the results of the work of the IDP Councils of Kirovohrad region. They also focused on the problems of IDPs integrating into the communities of Kirovohrad region.
