The pension reform that kicked off last autumn sees its early stages of implementation, and there are a lot of changes ahead, among which is the automatic increase of pensions depending on economic capacities, but not on the political promises. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman claimed on air of one of the TV channels.

He reminded that starting last fall over 9 million seniors were being paid higher pensions. Since April of the current year pensions have been raised to military retirees.

"And if someone thinks that's the end.. No! We have just launched a system of constant increase of pension payments. We’ve started the process. This is a change that will eventually gain momentum, and it will be tangible for the people. I am against a one-off crumb!" said the Head of Government.

He agreed that today there are a number of challenges - price hikes, for instance. "But in order to keep prices down we should invest in the economy, industrial development to form the supply of goods and services in the market. And we introduce such programs. And all that the economy earns, we will reinvest to promote the prosperity of people", summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
