Starting January 1, 2019, a minimum wage rate will grow to almost UAH 4,200. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko announced this on air of the Espresso.TV.
"The state budget for 2019 provides for an increase in the minimum wage to about UAH 4,200. As we promised, we are taking another step forward in the system of remuneration", he said adding that today the minimum wage rate makes up UAH 3,723.
Pavlo Rozenko noted that over the past three years, the Gov’t had managed to significantly increase the size of the minimum wage. "Given the increase since January, the minimum wage in the last three years will actually triple. This is a consistent policy of the President, the Government and the Parliament. We believe that a working person should receive a decent salary", said the Vice Prime Minister.
