On November 20, 2018, there took place the first meeting of the joint working commission to negotiate amendments and additions to the Sectoral Agreement between the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, the State Property Fund of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian association of employers' organizations "Federation of Employers of the Fuel and Energy Complex of Ukraine" and the Trade Union of Energy Workers and Electrical Engineering Industry of Ukraine for 2016-2018.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, chairman of the working commission Yulia Pidkomorna.

"I hope for a constructive dialogue of stakeholders and maximum consideration of proposals in the process of preparing a new Sectoral Agreement", noted the Deputy Minister.

During the meeting, discussions were held on proposals submitted by the parties to collective negotiation.

As a result of the discussion, the parties reached agreement on fixing the term of the Sectoral Agreement for 2019-2022.

The issue of improving the minimum wage guarantees requires additional consultation between the trade unions and the employers.

The next meeting of the joint working commission is scheduled for December 12, 2018.
