The Government Office for Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine presented a transition book "European and Euro-Atlantic integration". The book is designed to provide representatives of the political forces, experts and the public with exact information on the current state of affairs, major achievements and challenges on the road to the European integration, as well as on Ukraine's path towards NATO membership.
The transition book encapsulates the institutional basis for the implementation of state policy in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as the system of bilateral bodies of the EU-Ukraine and NATO-Ukraine Association, major legislative initiatives in all areas requiring priority consideration by the newly elected Parliament, a list of key Ukrainian and European stakeholders, financial and expert assistance from international partners that government and parliamentarians can count on, as well as how to move to a new level of management of these resources, key steps in implementing national policy in the field of Euro-Atlantic integration, including within the framework of the Annual National Program under the auspices of the NATO-Ukraine Commission,departmental aspect of realization of the European and Euro-Atlantic course of the state in the context of the activity of each of the ministries responsible for the implementation of the provisions of the Association Agreement, according to their competence and the main achievements of the line ministries and the "weaknesses" which require special attention of all parties concerned in order to ensure the realization of Euro-integration perspectives.
Moreover, the transition book is a contribution to ensuring the stable development of the state, preserving the institutional and legal foundations for further reforms and continuing a coherent and consistent state policy in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic integration during the new convocation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. First of all, this concerns the implementation of further steps towards enhanced sectoral integration in the digital, customs and energy, justice, freedom and security sectors as well as NATO integration.
