Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 25, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,516 (95 children out of this number, 87 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 219,107.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,166 persons, 63 patients died, 5,783 persons recovered. There have been conducted 13,962 testing (10,573 using the PCR method and 3,389 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1,194,328 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 953,297 people recovered;
  • 21,924 people died;
  • 6,108,668 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
