  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 5, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,081 (74 children out of this number, 32 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection).

    The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 6,237,706 vaccines have been made.

    On August 5, 2021, 167,383 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 36,163 - CoronaVac vaccine, 61,590 – Comirnaty vaccine, 10,251 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 59,379.

    Vaccination was carried out by 894 mobile immunization teams, 2,709 vaccination points and 301 vaccination centers.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 516 persons, 16 patients died, 478 persons recovered. There have been conducted 42,597 testings (19,929 using the PCR method, 7,546 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 15,122).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 2,257,478 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 2,189,293 people recovered;
    • 53,065 people died;
    • 11,487,542 testings have been conducted.
