Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 4, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,052 (81 children out of this number, 37 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection).

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 6,070,323 vaccines have been made.

On August 4, 2021, 159,121 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 34,497 - CoronaVac vaccine, 59,461 – Comirnaty vaccine, 9,558 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 55,605.

Vaccination was carried out by 880 mobile immunization teams, 2,667 vaccination points and 281 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 532 persons, 25 patients died, 542 persons recovered. There have been conducted 46,074 testings (20,950 using the PCR method, 9,154 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 15,970).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,256,397 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,188,815 people recovered;
  • 53,049 people died;
  • 11,467,613 testings have been conducted.
