The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution opening the possibility of prepaying the cost of materials for the construction of three engineering structures.
These include 3 flagship projects of the Great Construction program.
Zaporizhia Bridge is the largest and most famous long-lasting construction in the country, the work on which was resumed due to the Great Construction program. Critically necessary for the city of Zaporizhia and the entire industrial region. This is a 9-kilometer highway across the Dnipro River in Zaporizhia, which consists of 26 engineering structures. Construction activities are carried out ahead of schedule.
The Bridge in Kremenchuk is of national importance, the nearest road bridges to Kremenchuk, which meet the conditions of modern traffic, are within a radius of 500 km. The existing alternative was built back in the days of the Russian Empire, and has been in critical condition for many years.
Yampil Bridge – the construction of a border crossing over the Dniester River on the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border. It is a bridge on the route Kyiv - Chisinau, which will soon become the main route for travel to Moldova in the controlled territories, bypassing Transnistria.
All three objects are non-standard: they are bridges over 500 m long with individual stretch and support structures. There are currently only 13 such out-of-class engineering structures in Ukraine.
Such a solution will provide an opportunity to pay in advance for materials for the construction of bridges. The advance should not exceed 100% of their value and is allocated for a period not exceeding nine months, and previously granted advances are also taken into account. The term of production of metal structures is from 6 to 9 months. According to world practice, manufacturers do not sell products without full payment.
"To complete the work on time - we must invest in time. I am grateful to the Government for the decision to allow the pre-fund of such important objects for the country - it will allow to complete all mega-projects in time.
I want to emphasize that in the construction of bridges we have a high rate of localization - 90% of the used materials are produced in Ukraine. Thus, Great Construction program loads the Ukrainian metallurgy, mining and processing," said the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov at the Government meeting.
Allocation of the advance will allow to fully finance the manufacture of the main elements of the bridges - beams of stretch structures. Currently, there is a need for metal structures with a total cost of:
