Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 9, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 11,327 (1,010 children out of this number, 214 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 26,284,188 vaccines have been made.
Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,031,953 people have been vaccinated. On December 9, 2021, 157,728 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 58,536 – CoronaVac vaccine, 90,909 – Comirnaty vaccine, 7,954 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 329.
Vaccination was carried out by 904 mobile immunization teams, 3,261 vaccination points and 464 vaccination centers.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,551 persons, 442 patients died, 24,456 persons recovered. There have been conducted 71,780 testings (35,283 using the PCR method, 8,900 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 27,597).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 3,543,684 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 3,158,426 people recovered;
- 90,343 people died;
- 16,234,638 testings have been conducted.
