Oleksii Chernyshov: A network of 25 industrial parks in Ukraine will create over 50,000 jobs

In the coming years, the Government plans to build infrastructure to create at least 25 industrial parks. Such a network is capable of providing the country with an additional 50,000 jobs and another 150,000 - 200,000 workplaces in related industries. This was announced by Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov.

"A network of at least 25 industrial parks will create more than 50,000 jobs. This is not taking into account the employment of people in related fields. This is a multiplier in economics. After all, one job in an industrial park creates 3-4 jobs in related sectors - construction, logistics, consulting. It is also important that industrial parks focus on the production of high added-value goods. As a result, such sites will be able to reveal the economic, scientific and investment potential of communities in the near future and become a kind of "vaccine" against labor migration," said Oleksii Chernyshov.

It should be noted that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law amending the Law №4416-1 "On Industrial Parks". The document introduces financial, infrastructural and institutional incentives for investors into industrial parks (IP).

Bills №5688 and №5689, which will introduce fiscal incentives, are currently expected to be considered in the first reading. These include a ten-year income tax exemption for residents of industrial parks for reinvestment in development, an exemption from customs duties and VAT on the import of new equipment for their use and the establishment of real estate tax benefits at the decision of the community.

It should be noted that earlier the Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov said that the development of industrial parks is a powerful impetus for economic development.
