Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 27,2021, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,356 (75 children out of this number, 31 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 9,082,122 people have been vaccinated.

The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 5,359,417. On August 31, 2021, 150,482 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 37,442 - CoronaVac vaccine, 46,720 – Comirnaty vaccine, 14,036– AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 52,284.

Vaccination was carried out by 982 mobile immunization teams, 2,899 vaccination points and 330 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 470 persons, 51 patients died, 1,257 persons recovered. There have been conducted 46,014 testings (21,236 using the PCR method, 7,031 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 17,747).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,286,296 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,207,940 people recovered;
  • 53,789 people died;
  • 11,980,323 testings have been conducted.
