Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of May 26, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 3,395 (154 children out of this number, 73 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 205, 305.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 1,084,582 people have been vaccinated.

On May 25, 2021, 16,387 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 920 people got CoviShield vaccine, 8,910 – CoronaVac vaccine, 2,892 – Comirnaty vaccine, 3,660 – AstraZeneka, Janssen - 5.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,778 persons, 208 patients died, 14,987 persons recovered. There have been conducted 71,988 testings (30,724 using the PCR method, 13,108 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 28,156).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,189,858 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 1,990,051people recovered;
  • 49,893 people died;
  • 10,076,621 testing have been conducted.
