Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 19, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 18,479 (2,044 children out of this number, 492 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 29,613,234 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 15,080,101 people have been vaccinated. On January 19, 2022, 74,759 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 11,589 – CoronaVac vaccine, 53,961 – Comirnaty vaccine, 1,968 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 7,241.

Vaccination was carried out by 827 mobile immunization teams, 3,280 vaccination points and 445 vaccination centers. 

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,151 persons, 131 patients died, 4,446 persons recovered. There have been conducted 111,137 testings (61,642 using the PCR method, 7,982 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 41,513).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,799,382 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,571,782 people recovered;
  • 98,843 people died;
  • 17,332,435 testings have been conducted.
